The commit logs are the commits for incoming writes to your cluster from the application. You don't delete them.
If commit logs are not getting flushed/recycled, it's an indication of another problem.
Please log a ticket with DataStax Support and attach a Diagnostics Report from OpsCenter so one of our engineers can assist you with the investigation. Cheers!
