I can't connect to Astra running the week 6 exercise

Hello,

As part of week6 activity in Step4

Navigate to http://localhost:9090 and to http://localhost:3000, complete the connection dialog with your details, and connect to your Astra database.

⚠️ If you're using a DataStax cloud instance, remember to use the EC2 instance name in place of localhost, for example: http://wksv136191.cws-week6.datastaxtraining.com:9090/.

I changed the host to my cloud instance and was able to get the webpage.. However, I am unable to complete the test after giving user/password/keyspace to connect to my astra instance

Any advise, please let me know... I was able to complete all the other steps in the week6.

Hi @narayana.jayanthi_191238,

if you can access both the UI on port 3000 and the backend on port 9090 from outside of your instance, then your connection problems could be:

- wrong credentials to access Astra

- you are pointing the UI to the wrong base address, this needs to be your cloud instance address at port 9090

- requests blocked by CORS policy in your browser. We have tested this with Chrome, using a plugin that allows to unblock CORS requests.
