We discovered a problem with the cloud instances we provisioned. This post provides the details for the fix.
Right after we finished the second livestream for week 6, we discovered that there was an issue running the code on the cloud instances we provided to participants.
The cloud instances are locked down for security reasons and port 5000 cannot be used for the week 6 exercise.
We updated the code for the week 6 exercise and released v6.1. You will need to get the latest version from Github.
OPTION 1 - You can download the release tarball and unpack it. For example:
$ curl -OL https://github.com/DataStax-Academy/cassandra-workshop-series/archive/v6.1.tar.gz
$ tar xzf v6.1.tar.gz
OPTION 2 - Pull the latest update from Github from your clone:
$ cd /path/to/cassandra-workshop-series $ git pull
OPTION 3 - Manually get the files from https://github.com/DataStax-Academy/cassandra-workshop-series/tree/v6.1.
Sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks for attending our workshops. Cheers!
