DSE 6.0 tarball in DS201 course VM appears to be corrupted (follow up to question 5957)

Hi,

This is building off of the question below:

https://community.datastax.com/questions/5957/ds201-vm-cannot-untar-dse-600-bintargz.html

Every time I try to extract the tarball it fails and when I perform the cksum, the sum always changes. I have been trying for the past couple hours (redownloading, redeleting, trying to extract both VM and tar.gz, restarting the VM etc.) It worked fine until I tried extracting it for node3 (Exercise 12 - replication) . Please assist.

Hi @computergal45_194176,

if everything worked fine until you extracted the tarball for the third node, I would think that the proper extraction fails due to limited VM resources.

Try allocating more memory and disk to the VM and see if this gets you past this issue.

For example, I have allocated 4GB of RAM and dynamically allocated storage, and it is currently using 12GB Actual Size.

Let us know how you get on.
