Team- we have migrated our production cassandra cluster last week and we are seeing performance issues (timeouts etc), the database configurations are all same in the old cluster vs new cluster, except in the old cluster we have not enabled encryption and in the new cluster we have enabled LUKS encryption on the ephemeral instance store volumes.
Question: Is it possible that encryption having impact on the performance? As now our process have decrypt the data before reading would that be a reason for timeouts? Could some one please share the thoughts? We have a prod incident and any pointers would definitely help us. Thank you all in advance.

Does Instance store encryption impacts the read/write performance?
@shravanwwww_108208 there is some performance hit from the disk encryption and depending on your setup, the impact would be a slight increase in CPU utilisation as a result of decryption during reads. However, we don't believe it is significant enough to result in timeouts unless your cluster was already overloaded to begin with. Cheers!
