Does the cass-operator support triggering daily consistent backups?

Is that cass-operator supports triggering of daily consistent backups for cassandra database. I am using cass-operator version:1.3 and application version: 3.11.6

Up to 8 attachments (including images) can be used with a maximum of 1.0 MiB each and 10.0 MiB total.

At the time of writing, I don't believe we have a documented way of taking backups of a Kubernetes cluster. I know this is on the roadmap but I think it is still in the early stages.

I'm going to reach out to the authors of the operator at DataStax and get them to respond here. Cheers!

[UPDATE] John Sanda is working on integrating Cassandra Medusa -- an open-source tool for managing C* backups.

You can find the original Medusa ticket that kicked off discussion about k8s integration here. Part of the work involves exposing a gRPC service layer for Medusa. You can find the ticket for it here. This README provides some additional details.
