DataStax does not support a Go driver at this time. We have used GoCQL and have customers doing so as well, it's a solid driver. We don't directly support it at this time however.
Thanks a lot @csplinter, for your quick response, As part of our architecture model we have decided GO lang to be used to connect to multiple datasources and Datastax Cassandra will be one of them just to make sure that we do not end up with any last minutes surprises with combination of Datastax and GO have couple of more queries in below comment please :-
2. Are there any plans to support GO lang drivers with Datastax in near future?
3. What additional features Datastax drivers are providing that will be missing on using GOCQL driver ?
1. Non-DSE drivers will not have access to DSE features meaning they will be limited to open-source Cassandra-only features. This isn't necessarily a bad thing as it may be sufficient for your use case.
2. No plans in the foreseeable future.
3. Too long to list here so see https://docs.datastax.com/en/devapp/doc/devapp/aboutDrivers.html. Cheers!
Thanks much @Erick Ramirez, your quick response is much appreciated.
