Running Cassandra in an Ubuntu VM, service exits after a few minutes of operation

Running cassandra on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS with oracle JRE 1.8 cql version 3.4.5

Service starts fine and can log in to cqlsh as well. in few minutes the service goes to Active: active (exited)

Can't get connected with out restarting the service sometimes have to restart the server it self. Every thing is in the default configuration for single cluster. Running this in VM (not docket)

What could be the reason for this.

You haven't provided enough information for us to determine the cause of the problem.

You will need to review the logs for clues as to why Cassandra stops working. Cheers!

I think you misunderstood my response. You yourself need to analyse the logs to figure out why Cassandra stopped working. Cheers!
