I am looking into the AstraDB and wanted to know how can we initiate the compaction on regular basis? Can we use nodetool for manual compaction? or Astra provides any hooks to initiate the process.

It is not possible to manually trigger compactions on Astra databases.
Astra DB is serverless and fully-managed DB-as-a-service. There is no option for users to run any operational commands like nodetool compact.
