Is there a clean way to determine whether a core exists using dsetool?

Is there a clean way to determine whether a core exists using dsetool i am writing script to check the same and if not exist then only i want to create the same could you please guide in the same.

No, there isn't a dsetool command which allows you to do that out-of-the-box unless you get crafty with the existing commands.
