Can I install DSE in my lab for evaluation?

Hi,

we are trying to get into Datastax CDC feature to capture changes data from Datastax cassandra database .one of the below URL is taking us to install DSE and cdc gets tested .

my question :can we get download the DSE into my office lab and gets tested with free of license? Or its going to be a licensed one?

None of the downloadable software require a licensed key. They are the full version available to anyone who wants to test it in a non-production environment.

can we have a certification matrix from datastax on what versions of the datastax Cassandra have a compatibility with datastax CDC - kafka connect?

we are planning to use cdc for DSE-Cassandra DB version 6.7.4 .does it support?

if yes, can you post the guidelines and features what datastax cdc offers?

The DataStax CDC Connector for Kafka you're referring to was a labs feature only. This means that it was an alpha version that was never released for general availability.

It is not a supported product at this point. Unfortunately, I don't have any information on the roadmap or when a beta version will be available. Cheers!

Can you please direct me to the place where I can see the Installation/Configuration steps for Datastax Cassandra CDC if we have DSE

You can follow the demo in this blog post. But to reiterate, the CDC connector is an alpha version only (not even beta).
