[FOLLOW UP QUESTION TO #5466]

As you mentioned that coordinators will no longer store hints when replica has been down for longer than the maximum hint window max_hint_window_in_ms so what will be happen with the new changes which will come after this window.

will they lost ? or it will repair from other replica nodes

Coordinators will not store hints for any new mutations so you will need to repair the node once it is available again provided the node has not been down for longer than the shortest gc_grace_seconds.

You shouldn't bring a node back online if it's been down for long than GC grace because you will risk resurrecting deleted data. In this situation, you need to wipe the data on the node and re-bootstrap it back into the cluster. Cheers!
