New Academy site does not have subtitles and playback speed option

Hi,

Previous academy site provides an option to enable subscript as well as there is an option to lower the speed 0.75x, 0.50x, etc. Which is missing right now.

Facing a lot of challenge to understand the context, need to repeat the statement multiple times to get a better understanding.

May you please enable both the option

The new platform for the DataStax Academy does not have the ability to provide subtitles or adjust the playback speed.

For this reason, we have published the Academy videos on the DataStax Devs YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/DataStaxDevs). The playlists for the Academy courses is available here.

On YouTube, you would be able to see the automatically generated captions as well be able to slow down the playback in the individual video settings. Cheers!

Ok Great,

So, in this case, do a candidate is elgible to get a free certificate voucher, if one complete it from a Youtube link rather than DataStax academy?

No, there's no relationship between YouTube and the Academy site. You will still have to complete the courses at the Academy.

We just published the videos on YouTube for convenience and an alternative for users who have special requests like you. Cheers!
