Restore 6-node production data to single-node staging cluster

Hi

our production environment has 6 node Cassandra cluster with replication factor 2

we need to backup data in those nodes and restore in staging environment. but staging environment has single Cassandra node.

we're going to do get snapshot backups of each node using nodetool and restore those one by one in staging node. we've already created keyspace and schema equal to production in staging node.

i want to know you guys thought on this and is there any thing missing or wrong point me to right direction.

thank you.

There's nothing wrong with the approach you outlined.

It is otherwise known as cloning a cluster. I've provided detailed steps on how you would perform this operation in question #4477. Cheers!
