Tiered storage and DSE backup

Hi.

In a system with tiered storage configured (DSE 6.7.8), where we have a tier1 with SSD disk and a tier2 to store historical data on HHD disks, we would like to know if there is a way to perform a backup only from a specific tier

Up to 8 attachments (including images) can be used with a maximum of 1.0 MiB each and 10.0 MiB total.

Hi @fperalta,

DSE backs up by taking snapshots of the SSTable files stored in the data directory.

When taking snapshots of keyspaces and tables, there is no feature that would restrict to specific a tier, so it would apply to both tiers in your case.
