Is Cassandra stress different from NoSQL bench?
Is Cassandra stress different from NoSQL bench?
Yes, they are different tools.
Instead of posting a big write-up here I present you with this blog post from our friends at The Last Pickle -> https://thelastpickle.com/blog/2020/04/06/comparing-stress-tools.html. In the post our friend Mick Semb Wever breaks down the differences between cassandra-stress, NoSQLBench, and tlp-stress. There is no way I could do this better. It's a really solid article and will give you some nice tidbits on various ways to use NoSQLBench.
To add to David's answer and provide a simple overview:
cassandra-stress
is a command-line utility for stress-testing Apache Cassandra so you can benchmark the performance of your data model.
NoSQLBench is also a benchmarking tool with a lot more features and works for NoSQL systems, not just Apache Cassandra. It is pluggable with support for Kafka, MongoDB, HTTP requests, JMX, TCP and more.
Have a read of the blogpost from TLP that David linked for a deeper comparison. Cheers!
I guess I could have provided an overview as well. :( Giving you some points to make up for my lack of overview. :)
haha... well, the blog post has tons of info. Pointing me there was by itself a super cool thing.
Thank You Erick :) Also, thanks for making my question look cleaner
