Looking for methods/approaches/tools to archive data efficiently from Cassandra to other long term storage medium. Looking for methods other than snapshot of SSTables.
If you're looking for a backup tool that is capable of archiving snapshots off-server, have a look at Cassandra Medusa from The Last Pickle.
Medusa is a command-line tool that allows you to take backups of your Cassandra cluster and upload them to storage providers which support Apache Libcloud including Google Cloud Storage (GCS) and Amazon S3.
Medusa is free and open-source. Cheers!
