Kubernetes Container Storage Interface (CSI) drivers have a snapshot and restore capability, but I am not sure the restore process would work (or if at all) in conjunction with Cass Operator. You can read more about the CSI feature here.
You might want to also check out https://stash.run/. I have not used it yet, but it appears to have support for GCS looks really interesting.
Lastly, https://velero.io/ is a popular backup tool for k8s. It targets neither Cassandra nor databases specifically though.
