How do I enable the markdown editor when posting on DataStax Community?

I would like to use Markdown instead of the default WYSIWYG editor. How do I enable Markdown?

By popular request, support for markdown has been enabled on DataStax Community!

Follow these steps to start using the markdown editor.


STEP 1 - Click on your profile picture in the top right and select My Preferences:

STEP 2 - Click on the Site Preferences tab and select "WMD Markdown" as your editor:

STEP 3 - Hit UPDATE and you're ready!

This is what the editor will look like the next time you post a question, comment or answer:
