Where can I find the DataStax Installer for DSE 6.8.0?

Using the DataStax Installer to install (root permissions not required). This installer was available for DSE 5.1.

Here is the 5.1 link:

I need to install DSE 6.8.0 with all tools in a custom Linux volume for a multi data center cluster with Linux nodes. I found that this installer will be the quickest option for my use case with "Advanced Installation" option.

I am unable to find such installer for 6.8.0. Appreciate any help.

Thanks & Regards

.... Sushanta

@sushanta_saha_128535 The DataStax Installer was deprecated 2 years ago in DSE 6.0 (DSP-13640) and was last available in DSE 5.1.

We recommend installing the binary tarball instead. The only real difference is that it doesn't have a curses-like GUI but they are otherwise identical. Cheers!

Thanks Erick! But, that is a loss of productivity and ease of use. I was hoping that there is some workaround available.

There was only a tiny portion of customers used it so it got dropped. Cheers!

P.S. I converted your post to a comment since it's not an "answer".

Can I use OpsCenter Life Cycle to install in a custom volume? Thanks.

Not sure if you've checked the binary tarball. It unpacks to whatever directory you want and it's all self-contained within that directory path -- configuration files, JAR files and tools are all in the subdirectories of where you unpacked it. Cheers!
