Getting "No trusted certificate found" exception after configuring SSL encryption

SSL handshake error for inbound connection from 4419b69a[SSL_NULL_WITH_NULL_NULL: Socket[addr=/<IP>,port=<port>,localport=7001]] javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: Received fatal alert: certificate_unknown ... ERROR [MessagingService-Outgoing-/<IP>-Gossip]:19:59,655 OutboundTcpConnection.java:606 - SSL handshake error for outbound connection to 3b522b8f[SSL_NULL_WITH_NULL_NULL: Socket[addr=/<IP>,port=7001,localport=<port>]] javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: No trusted certificate found

Up to 8 attachments (including images) can be used with a maximum of 1.0 MiB each and 10.0 MiB total.

this is probably due to the previous self signed certificate that you were not able to verify. Seems like the certificate has not been found. Could you list us the installed certificate with the keytool -list command. Thank you

Does this issue is a part of the process you mentioned in another question? It definitely will happen if the certificate wasn't generated properly.

@Aleks Volochnev Yes alex . You are right . I just ignored the error and proceeded with the further steps and gotthis above error .

@aravinth_chakravarthyr_173918 It looks like you're having issues with generating self-signed certificates. Since this is not a DSE or product issue, a question-and-answer forum isn't the ideal place for us to help you troubleshoot the problem. Please log a DataStax Support ticket so one of our engineers can request an OpsCenter Diagnostics Report and assist you directly. Cheers!
