How do I upgrade from Cassandra 3.x to 4.x?

Hi,

there used to be some material (documentation, instructions and videos) to perform the upgrade from Cassandra version 3.x to 4.x, but except a one-pager and a one-minute video all the material seems lost.

Can anybody help me finding it, please!

@sbied the best place to look for upgrade instructions is the NEWS.txt file at the project's repo.

Here is a related information on the upgrade procedure that will shed you greater light.

I am not aware of such "material".

The general proposition is that you upgrade to the latest patch version then upgrade to Cassandra 4.x. You will need to familiarise yourself with the special upgrade steps for C* 3.0 or C* 3.11 (depending on the version you're running) AND C* 4.0. Cheers!
