As a general rule, we don't recommend tweaking the JVM options unless you have expertise in the space. We instead suggest that you follow the recommended settings as part of a wholistic review of your cluster.
Having said that, The Last Pickle (now part of DataStax) has a blog post Garbage Collection Tuning written by Jon Haddad in 2018 which you might be interested in.
