What version of TLS certificates are Supported for Cassandra versions 1.0.9, 2.1.15 and 3.11.8? TLS 1.2 supports all these versions of Cassandra or not?
Cassandra supports TLS/SSL encryption for client and inter-node communication. However, the Java VM (JVM) you have installed on the node handles the encryption/decryption for secure communication.
If you want to use the TLS v1.2 protocol, you need to configure Cassandra with the ciphers which support TLS v1.2. For a list of TLS v1.2 supported ciphers, see the OpenSSL Ciphers page.
For a list of cipher suites supported by the Java package you installed on the nodes, see your Java vendor's documentation. Cheers!
